– St. Francis of Assisi

“All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.”

We are Lux Counseling

We believe addressing difficult aspects of the human experience empowers individuals to become who they are meant to be, enhancing their ability to show up for those they love. Rooted in faith, we recognize that our brains and bodies are wired for healing and growth. No matter what has happened to you or what you are experiencing, there is always hope.

We see therapy as an investment in oneself and loved ones.

The last of the human freedoms – to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.”

– Viktor Frankl

“Everything can be taken from a man but one thing:

When I am struggling, I want to be around someone who gets me, who I can be real with, and who is hopeful. That is the kind of therapist you will find on our team at Lux Counseling. Therapists who get that life is messy, will be real with you, and yet can hold hope for you, no matter what you are experiencing.

Our private practice name "Lux," meaning "light" in Latin, embodies that mission. Our therapists are dedicated to standing by you through life's sometimes dark, messy moments, while helping you find light and hope in your story. It's our privilege to walk alongside you in your pursuit of healing and becoming the best version of yourself.

Lux Counseling was born from a desire to establish a private practice that mirrors the support I longed for during my own challenging seasons.
