Meet Lyndsay, she believes healing begins by gently uncovering what has been hidden beneath your heartache; whether it is anxiety, shame, past mistakes, wounds, or the stories we tell ourselves about who we are. Everything in your work with Lyndsay flows from one thing, getting to know you. You are the expert on your own life, and she takes that seriously. From there she brings clinical curiosity and an individualized approach, thoughtfully tailoring her interventions to your specific needs, goals, and the story only you can tell. Her work with you will always be rooted in the belief that you are inherently good, more capable than anxiety or fear has ever led you to believe.
Trauma-Informed, Relational Approach: Before becoming a therapist, Lyndsay spent years as a missionary walking closely with women of faith. What she witnessed gave her a deep conviction that your mental health is too important to white-knuckle through alone. She is more convicted than ever that working through trauma and identifying the lies, insecurities, and patterns that keep you stuck can transform your inner world and relationships. Lyndsay’s work is rooted in attachment theory and integrates approaches such as EMDR, CBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and the Catholic Christian understanding of the human person.
A Glimpse into Her World: Outside the therapy room, Lyndsay is usually outside, on a long walk with a friend having a great conversation or planning her next adventure. Up next: climbing Mount Rainier!

Meet Sarah, her favorite part of being a therapist is pulling the gold out of someone, helping you see and access the strength and capacity that is already in you, even when you cannot see it yourself. She will hold space for where you are, but she is too genuinely excited about where you are going to leave you there. Her background as a collegiate soccer coach gives her firsthand insight and passion for the deep connection between mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing, and that whole-person, holistic perspective is central to how she works clinically. She takes the time to understand how your relationships, environment, and life circumstances all connect to what you are experiencing, and from there helps you see your own capacity clearly, identify what needs to shift, and build practical tools that genuinely change how you move through your day to day.
Strengths-Based Therapeutic Approach: Sarah has a particular passion for walking alongside people in new and overwhelming seasons, especially the pregnancy and postpartum years, where so much is changing at once and it can feel overwhelming to find your footing. Sarah invests in understanding who you are, what is impacting you, and what you are working toward. From there she draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Strengths-Based Therapy (SBT) to build a practical, skills-based approach that moves step by step toward real and meaningful change.
A Glimpse into Her World: Outside the therapy room you can find Sarah, her husband, and their sweet daughters painting their new house, see Sarah playing in an adult soccer league or hanging in the backyard with their kids.

Meet Ellie, a trauma informed therapist who believes that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and deep connection. She especially values supporting you to move beyond fear, shame, and chronic self-doubt toward a life grounded in authenticity and freedom. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, she uses a relational, holistic approach to therapy, considering how your relationships and the systems you are part of shape not only the challenges you face but also the strengths and resources you draw on.

Meet Lizzy, she knows how it feels to be trapped by anxiety, and she knows there is light on the other side. Her passion for therapy's transformational potential began during a mission trip to a Zambian orphanage, where she sat with women who had survived trauma and watched how a lack of love and safety had rewritten the way they saw themselves, years after the danger had passed. That experience planted a determination in her to learn how to help her clients unlearn fear that has become a part of how they think and learn how to live confidently again.
The more she has been in the field, the more convinced she is that other people have been where you are, and there are proven methods to help you step forward through whatever burden you are carrying. You are not defined by your anxiety, your self doubt, or what has happened to you. You have dignity, a story worth telling, and real capacity for growth, even when it does not feel that way.
The Dream: Lizzy has always dreamed of creating a place where deep conversations and getting to the heart of it are the norm, where you can unravel and creatively rebuild, and where hope can be held for you even if you feel you cannot hold it for yourself. Whether you work with Lizzy or another therapist on the Lux team, she hopes you feel genuinely cared for and like you have finally found a place to be truly seen for who you are, in all your many layers.
Values Led Therapeutic Approach: Lizzy uses Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) based techniques to help you notice the untrue narratives and negative beliefs, often rooted in past experiences, that may be fueling your distress or anxiety. From there she gets to know you and how you process, helping you build tools to understand and communicate with the different parts of yourself, grow in your ability to recenter and regulate when triggered, and ultimately live in line with your values rather than being led by fear. Through Inference Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) she helps you understand how OCD or scrupulosity is working in your brain so you can identify and work through what fuels anxiety and obsessive doubt, as you work through strategies to trust yourself again. Lizzy has a deep passion for walking alongside pregnant, postpartum, and new moms. She has completed multiple trainings with Postpartum Support International, as well as the OCD Training School, in perinatal mood disorders and postpartum OCD, with a deep belief that caring for moms well cares for the whole family. She is trained as a Gottman Method Bringing Baby Home educator, enhancing her work with couples in the beautiful whirlwind of postpartum and family life.
A Glimpse Into Her World: Outside the therapy room, you can find Lizzy mom’ing having a picnic with her daughters, on a trail run, or cheering on KU basketball with her husband and friends.

In a world where so many interactions feel automated or transactional, Frances is the genuine, warm, and inviting presence replying to your inquiries. She is passionate about making sure you are taken care of and matched with a therapist who is an amazing fit for you after you take the vulnerable step of submitting our form.
When asked why it is important to Frances to help potential clients get connected to the best-fit therapists she said:
“My biggest hope is to ensure you know we hear your concerns as we set you up for a fruitful and quality relationship with therapy. Part of that means matching you with someone truly qualified for whatever brought you here. But it also means that when you see a calendar reminder for your upcoming appointment, you can feel a sense of relief knowing you were placed with your therapist intentionally and that you’re meeting with someone who will meet you exactly where you are.”
What she wants you to know if you feel hesitant about inquiring:
“I just hope anyone who reaches out knows that when I receive inquiries, I have absolutely no judgment whatever you may be going through. It is a joy and a privilege to know someone trusts us enough to help find the tools they need to begin healing. I also want to be that cheerleader for you, reminding you that while we are absolutely here to guide, you are the one putting in the work, so you are the real MVP!”
A Glimpse Into Her World: Outside of replying to your emails and inquiries, Frances can be found with her sons chasing sunshine, dreaming about country living, and interior design.
